Sharyn Steele

Sharyn Whiterabbit Steele is an enrolled member of the Wisconsin Ho-Chunk Nation and descends from the buffalo clan from which she is named Manasojawiga (Dust of the Buffalo.) She graduated from Dartmouth College with a double BA in English and Film before earning an MFA as the first Native American in USC's Peter Stark Producing Program. She was a development executive at Gold Circle Films and WWE Studios where she oversaw film and television projects before becoming an independent producer. She produced "Best Man Down" distributed by Magnolia Pictures and executive produced "Class Rank" released by Cinedigm. She was also the executive producer on an award-winning animated short, "Waabooz" based on an Ojibwa children's story. In 2017, Sharyn was named a Sundance Institute Time Warner Foundation Fellow. Her project through the institute, "The Ghost Files," was acquired by Sony's Stage 6. Most recently, she served as the Native American Technical Advisor for the Amazon series, "Goliath."
