Jon Peterson - or Jon J Peterson - is a British actor who has appeared both in independent movies and theatre in the USA and in the UK. Perhaps best known to US audiences for his portrayal of the Emcee in San Mendes' two revivals of "Cabaret", on Broadway and National Tours in 2000 and again in 2017 and also for his off-Broadway portrayal of American musical legend George M Cohan in "George M Cohan Tonight!" He also achieved a modest 'cult' following among young dancers in Germany from his appearance in the movie "Anna Ballerina" with the beautiful yet ultimately tragic German actress, Silvia Seidel.
