Clara Aranovich is a writer director who was born in Palo Alto, California to an Argentine Physicist and a Chilean Market Researcher. She went to Dartmouth College for Literature/Creative Writing and got an MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts in Writing/Directing. She grew up going to the Stanford Theater and wanted to be a filmmaker from an early age thanks to the tutelage of her older brother. She is related to cinematographer Ricardo Aronovich.
