Mike Shum is a cinematographer and director, known for his work on Hondros (2017) and Surviving an ISIS Massacre (2014). He started out in video journalism covering stories in Sub-Saharan Africa and was a regular contributor to The New York Times where he was nominated for a News and Documentary Emmy. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado.
