Hailing from rural NY (Millwood) where no one locked their doors, Joy had a GREAT childhood! her Mother was a delightful dreamer; her Dad a strict attorney type! From performing in high school performances (Pelham memorial) to conquer her shyness, to graduating with a BFA from Stephens College, to performing in the Original Broadway cast of "GREASE", to producing/performing in her own McCadden Pl. Theatre (built in 1979), to surviving a bout with cancer, Joy always had that "Joie de Viver !". Finding a Second passion, Joy now also teaches film acting (CloseUpActing.com). Joy proclaims that even with a few potholes now and then, LIFE IS GOOD....So I'm living it!!
