Gumball and Darwin's voices may be breaking, but they're showing no signs of growing up. Whilst Gumball and Darwin make fun of Mom and Dad for being old, their voices start to break. They try to ignore it, but everybody they meet reacts to their new and unpredictable voices. Gumball and Darwin finally decide to make the most of their childhood whilst there's still time.
Sarah, the new kid in school, is Gumball and Darwin's number one, slightly obsessive, fan. Sarah is intensely following Gumball and Darwin around trying to win their friendship. When Gumball tells her that she is acting like a stalker, she embraces it and actually takes it up a notch. However, when Gumball and Darwin realise that she's behaving this way because she's lonely, they go to surprising lengths to make her feel accepted.
The new coach at Elmore High stands up to Jamie. The new Coach witnesses Jamie bullying the other kids at lunch and steps in. Jamie is made to apologise, much to the amazement of the other kids. Gumball and Darwin worry about Jamie seeking revenge, especially when they see him sneaking into the back of Coach's car. They use their newly acquired gym skills to save the Coach from being bullied.
Miss Simian has to save herself from a contagious Joy virus infecting the whole school. After Dad gives Gumball and Darwin a special hug, the kids go to school filled with a virulent form of Joy. Miss Simian quickly identifies the terrible affliction, and soon enough it spreads to the other kids. She has to find a cure before it's too late. Before Ms Simian herself is won over by . . . Joy.
The kids finally get the puppy they always wanted, except . . . it's actually a turtle, and it hates them. After begging Dad for a puppy, the kids are taken aback when he comes home with a turtle. Despite the fact that the turtle turns out to be extremely aggressive (especially toward Gumball) they try their best to give it the love it deserves. This achieves nothing. The Evil Turtle escapes and goes on a rampage, and they have to find it before it destroys Elmore.
Gumball and Darwin discover the secret behind Anton's immortality. Anton's little toasty body disintegrates during a swim class. When Gumball and Darwin see Anton the next day, as good as new, they set out to discover his secret. It turns out that his parents use a special formula to bake new Antons when necessary. So the kids test it out at home and end up baking a clone army whose leader - Ant-one - wants to destroy Anton and take over the world.
When Mom reveals Gumball's real name is Zach, Gumball adopts a cheesy, annoying persona to match the name. His family tries to make him remember the old Gumball as this new Zach persona is progressively taking over Gumball's life and erasing his memories. If they can't reach him in time, the old Gumball will disappear forever and they'll be left with Zach!
It's quiet a day for Gumball and Darwin and the background characters finally get their chance to shine. Nothing much is happening for Gumball and Darwin and the background characters in Elmore seize their moment. An array of diverse characters you may have noticed lurking in the background of Gumball and Darwin's adventures finally let their voices be heard. A series of sketches include some tennis crowd extras, two pizzas in love and The Bacon Guy.
The kids complain so much they become actual charity cases. Gumball is in such a bad mood that it spreads to Darwin, who joins him in complaining about everything. Their constant moaning grabs the attention of the good people of Elmore. Mistaking Gumball and Darwin for genuine kids in need, they put on a benefit and raise money for them. How do Gumball and Darwin confess there's been a mix-up without inciting a riot?!!
The Wattersons set off on a relaxing vacation and end up running for their lives! The Wattersons are swapping scary stories on a family vacation, when their car breaks down in the middle of the desert. They are left with no alternative but to trust a complete stranger, whose appearance matches the scary guy in Mom's story. When the stranger brings them to a derelict gas station, just as he did in mom's made-up scary story, the Wattersons can no longer pretend the story isn't coming true . . .
Gumball and Darwin discover Principal Brown's diploma is a fake. When Gumball and Darwin discover his diploma is fake, Principal Brown is determined to keep their discovery a secret. He offers them all sorts of "incentives" to keep quiet but the truth is they really don't care whether the diploma is real or not. Mistaking their disinterest as "playing hard to get" Principal Brown resorts to increasingly desperate measures to ensure Gumball and Darin play ball.
When Gumball and Darwin investigate a missing classmate, they discover a far greater mystery . . . about Elmore. Gumball and Darwin start noticing small details around Elmore High that don't add up. They come to the conclusion that Molly has disappeared, even though nobody else remembers her ever having existed. Mr Small confirms their suspicions and tells them that things are not always what they seem in Elmore. They set off on a quest to rescue Molly in an alternate dimension, and soon need rescuing themselves!
Gumball and Darwin help Rocky land an office job so that his dad, Mr. Robinson, will be proud of him. After a health scare the kids decide to reunite Mr Robinson with his son. Mr Robinson has always seen Rocky as a disappointment so when Gumball and Darwin help him land a corporate job at Chanax, he is thrilled. However the Chanax corporation is not quite what it seems. Can Gumball and Darwin rescue Rocky before he becomes a corporate drone for all eternity . . .
Clayton is a compulsive liar, but Gumball discovers he wasn't lying about his awesome martial arts move. Gumball confronts Clayton about his fabled Seven Pressure Point Heart Exploding Technique, assuming it's another one of his outlandish claims. Darwin and Gumball intervene to help Clayton start embracing the truth. However, when they discover the move is as effective as he claimed, they really wish he'd been lying.
Donut Cop shows Gumball and Darwin that the smallest misdemeanour can lead to a breakdown in law. Gumball jaywalks and is pulled over by Donut Cop. When Gumball objects he is told that even the smallest misdemeanor can lead to a breakdown in law. In an effort to impress the kids Donut Cop takes them for a ride-along in his cop car and gets carried away, progressively breaking the law himself. He soon proves that the tiniest offense can indeed snowball into complete lawlessness!
Gumball needs to find a cure for Darwin's allergy before he sneezes Elmore off the map. Darwin starts sneezing repeatedly and it seems he can't stop. The Wattersons figure maybe he's allergic to something. After a few guesses, they come to the conclusion that he is allergic to stupidity. Being surrounded by stupid people, this is something of a problem. And they need to find a solution before Darwin's increasingly explosive sneezes destroy the town.
It's Mother's Day and kids put their moms through a series of tests to determine who has the World's Greatest Mom. It's Mother's Day, and Gumball and Darwin discover that Tobias and Banana Joe have both made a card for "The Best Mom in the World". Clearly Nicole Watterson is the Best Mom, but Tobias and BJ just won't admit it... So they organise a mom-off at the mall between Nicole, Banana Barbara and Jackie Wilson. Needless to say it gets pretty intense.
Gumball and Darwin are shocked to discover that Anais is Dad's favourite child. Mom has forced Dad to install a password on the computer. The pop-up clue advises them that the password is the name of Dad's favorite child. After trying "Gumball" and "Darwin" unsuccessfully, they discover the answer is, in fact, "Anais". They are determined to become Dad's favorites by any means necessary, even if it means undermining each other, plotting against Anais or driving a wedge between mom and dad . . .
Gumball and Darwin go to extraordinary lengths to avoid taking out the trash. Gumball and Darwin are offended when Mom calls them "procrastinators", once she's told them what it means. They promise to take the trash out by the time she gets home. As the clock slowly counts down, they discover that they will go to extraordinary lengths, no matter how inane, to avoid the task in hand.
Gumball inadvertently cracks open Penny's shell and discovers who she really is inside . . . While performing a school play, Gumball is so nervous about kissing Penny that he accidentally headbutts her and cracks open her shell. They discover that under Penny's shell is an emotional shape-shifting inner self. Penny's father is determined for Penny to keep it hidden but Gumball encourages her to show the world who, or what, she really is . . .
Gumball and Darwin are given the job of looking after the lame school hamster. Principal Brown gives Gumball and Darwin the ancient school hamster, Chris Morris, to look after for the weekend. However they accidentally leave it at school, and take home a clump of Principal Brown's hair instead. Surprisingly they discover it makes an excellent pet! When they realize they have left the real Chris Morris at school, they have to race to find him before their error is discovered.
Darwin gets jealous of Gumball and Penny's relationship. When Darwin and Gumball reveal how they'd spend their perfect day, Gumball confesses that he would spend it with Penny. Darwin gets jealous and sets out to dig some dirt on Penny, hoping it will split them up. Meanwhile Gumball is planning to step his and Penny's relationship up a notch . . . by proposing marriage!
When Gumball refuses to forward a scare email, the curse becomes all too real. Gumball receives a scare email from a freaky ghost and decides to ignore it despite Darwin's advice. He refuses to admit it but the curse starts to come true and his whole family gets dragged into another dimension. Gumball and Darwin, with help from Carrie, set out to save their family.
It's Granny Jojo's Birthday and she's brought an unexpected guest to dinner. Granny Jojo has brought a boyfriend to her birthday meal and Dad isn't happy about it. He bans Granny JoJo from ever seeing Louis again. When the kids get caught sneaking Granny Jojo out of the house, Dad challenges Louis to a man-off to prove once and for all who is the man of the house?!!
The Wattersons have had a bad day, but it turns out Larry has too and it's about to get worse . . . for everyone! The Wattersons complain about their day and order a pizza from Larry. When they call to complain about their late pizza it's the final straw for Larry and he quits all of his jobs. Elmore's fragile commercial structure collapses and the citizens revert to a more primitive apocalyptic state.
Gumball and Anais invent a new holiday to beat the January blues. The citizens of Elmore are feeling down because it's January, so Gumball and Anais invent a new holiday called Sluzzle Tag. The whole town embrace this festival and get excited about the arrival of the Sluzzle Dude; leaving it to Gumball and Anais to keep everyone's Sluzzle Tag dreams alive.
Gumball learns the true meaning of the butterfly effect. In Biology class, Gumball and Darwin are waiting for a butterfly to emerge from its chrysalis. Miss Simian warns them about the Butterfly Effect whereby the flap of an insect's wings can start a tornado on the other side of the world. Paying no heed, Gumball releases the emergent butterfly into the wild, where it causes havoc upon Elmore.
Gumball and Darwin seek the answer to the biggest question of all: what is the meaning of life? They need to understand the point of their lives, so resolve to seek advice from everyone in Elmore. They ask people, animals and even planets but their answer comes from an unexpected source.
Gumball doesn't believe anyone could really be as nice as Alan and sets out to find his breaking point. Alan is so good-natured that Gumball feels compelled to make him lose his temper. Despite turning the whole school against him, destroying his relationship with Carmen and even selling his parents, Alan remains understanding and happy. When they find one that depicts Gumball running naked through the mall, Gumball is determined not to let it come to pass. However events conspire against him, and Gumball learns that sometimes you can't fight fate.
Darwin watches a Health and Safety video and gets carried away. When Mr Small shows a health and safety video in class, Darwin becomes obsessed with the idea of keeping the Wattersons safe. He tries to protect them from the world around them and soon Darwin's over-protective control-freakery spreads to every corner of Elmore. The Wattersons have no choice but to overthrow his despotic regime.
Gumball is convinced there is a Secret Society in school and he wants in. Things aren't going Gumball's way at school so he assumes there must be a Secret Society that gives preferential treatment to its own members. He tries everything to uncover this non-existent society, making everyone's lives miserable in the process. Eventually, in an attempt to restore some peace, the pupils and teachers decide to give him exactly what he wants.
Can Gumball and Darwin get through a whole week without somebody ruining the movie they're planning to see? Gumball and Darwin have spent all their pocket money, so will have to wait until the following weekend to see "The Screamening." It"s the scariest film of the year. The only problem is everyone else has seen it, and won't stop talking about it. Gumball is determined to avoid all spoilers. Will he succeed?
Gumball and Darwin are running late for school but need to arrive in time to avoid expulsion. Gumball and Darwin hit snooze too many times on their alarm clock and miss the school-bus. Miss Simian has threatened to expel them if they don't get to school on time. A mysterious clock appears showing exactly how long they have to get to school. When it looks like they aren't going to make it in time, they stop the clock which effects the space/time continuum.
Gumball and Darwin discover they have an uninvited house guest. Things keep going missing in the house, so it's up to Gumball and Darwin to find the culprit. They discover that a mysterious person has been secretly living in their home. Gumball and Darwin manage to turn this confused squatter into their mortal enemy . . .
Gumball is in a funk that is proving hard to shake. Gumball refuses to get out of bed because he is in a lousy mood. When his family try to cheer him up Gumball wishes they'd all just disappear and, inexplicably, they do. At first he enjoys the solitude and doing just as he pleases but soon his mood threatens to take control of him completely.
Gumball is jealous when Darwin discovers a hidden musical talent, and he may not be the only one. Darwin joins the school marching band, and his tin-whistle talent lands him the solo. Gumball misses having his friend to goof off with and tries to get rehearsal cancelled. So when Darwin's whistle is sabotaged nobody believes Gumball is innocent. Gumball, meanwhile, sets out to find the true culprit, or there may be no encore.
The Wattersons have run out of money and are torn between being broke and selling out. Richard has lost all of the family's money. Nicole is happy for the Wattersons to appear in a Joyful Burger commercial for some much needed cash. However Gumball protests as he is convinced it's selling out. He persuades the family to stick to their principles, but they find sticking to a tiny budget even harder.
To impress the mother of Anais' playdate, Nicole forces her family to get classy. Nicole arranges a playdate for Anais with the son of a classy lady she met at the supermarket. She hopes that socializing with the right sort of people will help her children climb Elmore's social ladder. The Wattersons try to impress, but ultimately cannot help revealing their true natures. The grown-ups become convinced they want nothing more to do with each other, just as Anais and her playdate discover how much they have in common.
