The Wattersons look back on Anais' first days in the Watterson house. Gumball and Darwin quickly find themselves up an opponent who is able to outsmart them at every turn.
When Gumball and Darwin track a women emerging from their home, they discover her to be a member of a gang of wise-cracking elderly friends. However, as they get closer and closer to her life, they realize they may know her already.
Gumball spends the day with Bomb Kid, who has decided Gumball is the perfect target for him and his friends to play pranks on. However he soon learns that Gumball is so gullible that pranks bounce off him.
Gumball and Darwin want to have a lazy day on the sofa, and have come up with various tricks to stop themselves having to move. Gradually more and more people arrive, seemingly to get them to move, until finally they realize that if they have to move, they'll do it in the laziest way possible.
Gumball and Darwin are joking around, but when Tobias joins in and makes fun of Gumball, he's incredibly offended. They explain to Tobias that to make those jokes he'd need to be higher on Gumball's friend list. They think that's the end of it, but Tobias is after that number one spot.
When Frankie attends a party at The Watterson's he realizes it's a holiday Granny Jojo made up to celebrate the day he left. Richard is feeling sad about the years he lost with Frankie so the kids try anything to cheer him up.
When the uncomfortableness between them reaches new levels, Gumball and Hot Dog Guy decide they have to confront their ongoing awkwardness by making things as awkward as possible.
When Mr. Corneille shows up to work with a mysterious bruise, Gumball and Darwin discover that he's teacher by day and a cage fighter by night, or was until he vowed never to fight again. However, when the school is being closed for a lack of finances the boys have to try and convince him to come out retirement for one last fight.
Everything in Elmore is suddenly just various shades of grey, and things all over town are going wrong. Gumball and Darwin follow the mayhem and learn that one person was holding the whole town together: Alan. They have to restore his faith in the world to bring color back to Elmore.
When their parents all go to a charity gala at the school, the kids are locked in a classroom with a VHS tape. However, when the room starts to heat up, they need a leader to get them out of the situation and have to choose between Anais, a qualified but unpopular candidate or Gumball, a charismatic candidate with absolutely no plans.
Gumball wants Clayton to sit his detention for him, so he convinces him it's way more exciting to be take the shapes of other people. However, Clayton begins imitating people all over town and causing mayhem. Gumball and Darwin have to convince him that the most exciting person to be is himself.
Gumball finds Penny's laugh annoying, but can't think of a way to tell her without offending her. When he discovers that Principal Brown has the same problem with Miss Simian's morning breath, they decide to swap problems to save themselves from getting dumped.
When their neighbor tries to bring over a package for them, Gumball and Darwin realize they have never learned his name, and it's way too late to ask. They try everything to figure out what it is, but when they do they find out there are bigger secrets to learn about their neighbor than just his name...
When people that barely know each other start falling in love, Gumball thinks he knows who's behind it. He rushes to Sarah's house and finds her writing in a magic notebook that turns everything in it into reality. When everything in Elmore gets crazier and crazier there's only one thing for it: they have to write their way out.
Anais has been facepalming every time her family does something stupid, which has led to a serious medical condition. In fact, if she facepalms just one more time she could do her brain irreparable damage, so the Wattersons have to get through the week without doing anything idiotic.
After accidentally bumping into each other in the grocery aisle, Nicole and her parents have it out. The Wattersons discover why Nicole and her parents haven't been on speaking terms for so long. The kids decide to bring about a reunion, in order to secure that backlog of birthday and holiday presents...
When Nicole decides to pay the cable bill in person at Chanax, she leaves specific instructions for Richard to stay in the car. However he's far too tempted by the vending machine in the foyer to follow her advice. Chanax believes Richard is their mysterious founder and follow his every whim, leading to their inevitable demise.
Gumball and Darwin are at the convenience store considering playing truant. Larry warns them that if they don't take their education seriously they'll end up like him. To prove his point, Larry lets Gumball and Darwin work some of his many roles to make them appreciate the value of a good education.
Gumball and Darwin argue with the Internet and make him mad. So mad in fact that he seeks to wipe out humanity and, while doing so, malfunctions! The whole of Elmore is plunged into a time before technology. It's actually pretty nice. Will Gumball and Darwin decide to leave the internet unplugged?
Gumball and Darwin learn that Hector is not so happy being giant-sized. So they decide to help him by creating a potion that will shrink him down to the size of an average person. However creating a magic potion is not as easy as it sounds, and the results can go spectacularly wrong...
Wishing to get rid of Gumball once and for all, his nemesis Rob offers up a variety of reality, action and comedy shows featuring characters other than Gumball. Unfortunately for Rob, each one is worse than the last.
Penny's family is unhappy that she's decided to come out of her shell literally. And Penny wants her family to come out of their shells...also literally. They are at an impasse so who do they turn to in their time of trouble? Gumball of course! Needless to say he is way outside of his comfort zone.

When they accidentally surprise their guests, an elderly pair of fainting goats, they faint...unsurprisingly. The Wattersons fear the worst and attempt to cover up this "accident".
It's Halloween in Elmore. As the kids go trick or treating we see what everyone in town is up to. The ghosts and ghouls are finding it increasingly difficult to scare children, and are only scaring part-time. Can Gumball and Darwin help them get their scare back?
Gumball decides to put Mr. Small's eco-friendly principles to the test but it doesn't quite go as planned. Mr. Small disappears after deciding to leave the modern world behind. But on the plus side they discover that the Great Stink-Ape of Elmore Woods is definitely not extinct.
Gumball tries to convince Leslie he's an expert on all things plant-related. However, when Leslie realizes Gumball hasn't got a clue what he's talking about, he decides to call his bluff. An escalation of dangerous dares and stunts ensue as they try to out-plant each other.
Richard doesn't answer the door in time and the jobsworth delivery guy will not let him have his package. His options are to pick his package up at the depot or pay for a redelivery. Richard doesn't like the sound of either option, so a battle of wills begins that can only end in the destruction of one or both of them.
Everyone assumes Darwin and Carrie's relationship is doomed as they're so different. That is, everyone except Darwin and Carrie. When Carrie's cool ghostly ex-boyfriend turns up, Gumball decides to get Darwin to confront what's really going on.

When it turns out the refrigerator is also a magical storage facility for childhood emotions and memories, it makes sense that Richard is having a hard time letting go.
Dad decides to resolve the Watterson family's differences through the power and magic of his favorite roleplaying game. As they embark on the adventure of a lifetime and battle mythical creatures, will they finally manage to put their differences aside and work together?
When Gumball and Darwin's conversation dries up, they worry that their friendship is coming to an end. They try to find ways to get the conversation flowing again, but nothing seems to work. Maybe they have just grown apart?

Gumball and Darwin panic when they suspect they've accidentally turned Miss Simian into a cushion, by wishing upon an enchanted key ring. Surely the only way to break the curse is a confession of true love from Principal Brown. Simple!
Gumball and Darwin follow Nicole to the Rainbow Factory for Bring your Kids to Work Day. They are expecting a magical place full of dreams and wonder but it turns out to be a little less magical than they'd hoped. Despite the fact nobody wants them there, they end up saving the factory from being closed down.
Gumball and Darwin's clothes go missing after a swimming lesson and Gumball is forced to wear a tuxedo from the lost and found office. He believes it makes him look like a certain dapper British secret agent and, together with Darwin and Bobert (and far too many wisecracks) Gumball track down the villain responsible for stealing his clothes.
Gumball and Darwin realize that the adult residents of Elmore are dangerously naive when it comes to being safe online. In fact they are in serious need of the boys help with even the simplest of tasks. And no more so than their mom, Nicole.
The boys stay up all night, even though the next day they're supposed to be babysitting Polly, Penny's little sister. They're so tired that they manage to lose Polly in the blink of an eye. They desperately look for her, but find themselves in increasingly weird situations every time they accidentally nod off.
When Mr. Robinson accidentally let slip how little he cares for Gumball and Darwin, they react by giving him the cold shoulder. Surprisingly Mr. Robinson misses them and tries to win back their friendship. After a few failed attempts, Gumball and Darwin realize that Mr. Robinson's heart is protecting him, so they give it an intense affection overload.
Darwin tries to highlight the plight of all the household objects he feels are being oppressed and maltreated by the uncaring residents of Elmore. He then decides to lead those objects in a revolt against the townspeople.
When everything goes wrong in Darwin's life, he begins to suspect that Gumball's bad influence might be to blame. Darwin decides to go elsewhere for guidance and finds a new mentor in Alan. But maybe it's time Darwin started making his own decisions.
Gumball's old BFF Fuzzy, turns up on his doorstep. Darwin struggles to accept that there was someone before him and fails to contain his jealousy. But is Darwin right to mistrust Fuzzy? Does Fuzzy actually have sinister motives for reconnecting with his old BFF?
