Two children wandering through forest are lured by a witch into a house of ugly animals. The boy is changed by magic into a spider--the girl is saved from being changed into a bat by dwarfs. The witch flees and all of the children return to their original form. The dwarfs shoot the witch who falls into a cauldron and turns into stone.
