Adam Healey works his way into Jamie Tanner's life; he arrives at the villa in Greece as a tutor to the daughter of the Tanners' friends, Jules and Damien; he emotionally seduces Jamie's wife Nat.
Jodie the Tanner's nanny requires urgent medical attention and is helicoptered off the island with a dangerous case of food poisoning; a Greek local and neighbour to the Tanners has been viciously attacked.
Adam moves into the Tanners' London home and gets to work stoking jealousy and paranoia between Jamie and Nat; Damian and Jules smell a rat.
Jamie blames Nat's friends for the family tragedy, but Nat is defiant; Jules and Damien arrive and accuse Adam of being a fraud; things are starting to unravel for Jamie; Jules confesses to Nat why she's been so weird about Adam.
Concern spreads regarding Damien's disappearance, and Adam has to cover his tracks; Jamie is accused of serious misconduct at work and is suspended from his business; the Tanners flee to their country home for the weekend with Adam.
