Ella Blake (Aisling Franciosi) is a gifted animator living in the shadow of her sick and demanding mother, an influential filmmaker. Ella has no time to live her own life. She manages to get a boyfriend, but her independence doesn't last long. Her mother dies, and Ella promises to finish her unfinished work.
