Ingrid and her siblings are on the run from the berserkers - the Vikings' malevolent warriors - who have begun to invade the villages. They force one resident at a time to fight against a berserker - a game that none of the villagers win or survive. Now the three siblings must escape from their pursuers, or they will also be forced to participate in the deadly game.
